How do I work out how many support hours my plan covers?

Divide your budget by the hourly price for the time of day you need support.

For example, $20,000 at the weekday daytime limit of $73.58 covers about 271 hours, or about 5.2 hours a week over a year. The same amount covers fewer hours on weekends.

Calculator: common questions

See all FAQs

Where do these rates come from?

They are the 2026-27 national NDIS price limits for standard Assistance With Self-Care Activities, effective 1 July 2026. Providers can charge up to these limits. Remote and very remote areas have higher limits.

Does this include travel or other costs?

No. The calculator covers support hours only. Providers may also claim some travel time and activity-related transport under the NDIS pricing arrangements, as set out in your service agreement.

Why are weekend and evening rates higher?

Workers are paid higher rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays, so the NDIS sets higher price limits for those times. Planning more weekday daytime support stretches a budget further.
