What can I do with a support worker in Perth?
In Perth, a support worker can help you get to the beach, parks, markets, shopping centres and sport, and support you to take part at your own pace.
Perth's long coastline and parks make outdoor time easy. Kings Park has gardens, lookouts and paved paths. Cottesloe and Scarborough beaches are popular for a swim or a walk, and the Swan River foreshore is good for a quiet afternoon. Fremantle Markets and the Fremantle waterfront are a favourite weekend outing.
Your worker can also help you with:
- visits to the State Library of Western Australia or your local council library
- classes and social groups at community centres
- watching the Eagles, Dockers or cricket at Optus Stadium
- shopping at centres like Westfield Carousel, Westfield Booragoon or Lakeside Joondalup
Hot summer days need planning, so your worker will think about shade, water and timing. Read more about community participation.
How do support workers get around Perth with participants?
Perth support workers travel with you on Transperth trains, buses and ferries using a SmartRider card or contactless payment, or drive you if transport is part of your support.
Transperth train lines run north to Joondalup, south to Mandurah and east to Midland and Armadale, with buses linking most suburbs. Inside the CBD, free CAT buses make short trips easy. Your worker can check accessible stations and plan trips with fewer changes.
If you hold a WA Companion Card, your worker may get free entry at participating venues and events. Some transport services also accept it, so check before you go.
Perth is spread out, and many trips are long. If you want to build independence, a worker can practise a regular route with you until you feel confident to do it alone. See travel and transport support.
Do you provide NDIS support in regional and remote Western Australia?
Yes. Enrichment Care supports participants across WA, including regional and remote areas, when we can recruit a suitable worker who lives nearby.
Western Australia covers huge distances. Towns like Bunbury, Albany and Geraldton have local workers, while the Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields can take longer to staff. We look for people already living in or near your community, because a worker who flies in rarely gives you the consistency you need.
The NDIS uses the Modified Monash Model (MMM) to decide how remote a place is. Remote and very remote areas have higher price limits. In 2026-27, the weekday daytime limit for self-care support is $103.01 an hour in remote areas and $110.37 in very remote areas, compared with $73.58 elsewhere.
These are maximums, and providers can charge less. Read our guide to NDIS price limits for 2026-27 and check ndis.gov.au for current figures.
How do I get started with Enrichment Care in Perth?
Call 1300 543 123 or use our contact form to tell us about your goals, routine and the type of worker you want.
Our office is in Sydney, and in WA we recruit workers locally. Once we find people who suit you and live nearby, we send you their profiles. You choose who to meet, and you never have to accept a worker you are unsure about.
Next comes a meet and greet at your home or another place you like. Family, carers and support coordinators can join. If it feels right, we set up a service agreement and a start date.
Because of the time difference, let us know the best time to call you. We are happy to work around Perth hours.
If you are moving from another provider, we can help you check your notice period and sort out the paperwork so your supports continue without a gap.
